Hello! I would like to tell you a little bit about myself, I am a qualified counsellor with special interest in the use of expressive arts therapies. .
I find my abilities lay in relationship and meaningful support of people in both the group context and also one on one connection.
This has informed the direction my career has taken through the fashion industry into training and education, with experience gained coordinating and facilitatinggroup activities, community, TAFE programs and developing personalised student learning plans. Always creative and always with a strong importance on connection and community.
More recently I have turned my attention to the therapeutic benefits of creative process for well-being and as a mental health intervention. I have managed leisure and lifestyle programs for elderly, in dementia care and for Melbourne's homeless community.
Over the last ten years I have maintained a rich and fulfilling practice as a counsellor/expressive arts therapist and mentor. All the while my creative energies continue to flourish with interests in a wide variety of visual arts and crafts. .
